Alex won stages 1 & 2, establishing a solid time gap on his GC rivals. He retained the lead to the end with two 2nd place finishes on stages 3 & 4, leading to a Superare GC victory in the Open Men category!
Camp vibes were top-notch, including post-ride drinks with our Cafe Cinco Siete sponsor, river dips, and a Dairy Queen excursion with the pros in Oakridge!
Jack Henry, Ivan, Mason, Alex, and Luke headed east for 4 stages in and around Baker City!
Jack Henry raced for 3rd overall in the cat 3 field, including a win on stage 1 and a close 2nd on stage 3!
Those achievements were supported by Mason’s hard work in the cat 3 field, where he secured 8th overall!
Ivan became teammate-of-the-year after an achilles injury took him out after stage 1, using the remainder of the weekend to shuttle vehicles, man feed zones, and generally be soigneur extraordinaire!
Alex and Luke both finished the team’s first cat 1/2 stage race (25th and 33rd overall) and learned a lot along the way!
Not a typical spirited drop ride…the A&B Summer Solstice Race had the best parts of lively group rides—local roads, camaraderie, and healthy competition—coupled with the additional perks of regional road races, like support vehicles and podium prizes, without any hassle!
Superare’s Cam Grover pushed the pace on the Corey Rd gravel climb and spicy descent, whittling down the field to a lead group of six that included Alex!
Cam launched an attack on the flat roads leading to the final climb, allowing Alex sit in and conserve energy while the competition chased. The gambit paid off with Alex nabbing the 3rd place podium spot!
A hot weekend of bike racing, baking in the sun on beautiful roads south of The Dalles. This is the state champ race for road and time-trial, run by Team Oregon!
Superare was well-represented in the cat 3/4 road race, with Jack Henry taking P6, Andrew taking P8, and Cam working as a domestique to help make it happen!
Luke and Alex were part of the small cat 1/2 field (19 starters), and after an attritional race, Alex secured P7.
Jack Henry was the only brave Superare racer to take on the TT—he rode hard in the heat for 2nd place!
Alex flew the Superare colors solo at the second event of the Oregon Gravel Series, 80 miles and 6,621 ft of climbing on a technical gravel course.
Alex bridged to the leader on the last major gravel climb, dropped him on the paved climb that followed, and held the gap through the final washboard and single-track to take the overall win!
Luke, Alex, and David headed north for Tour de Bloom, a four-day stage race in Wenatchee.
Stage 2 Waterville Road Race was the highlight. 76 miles across exposed farm roads in a 20+ mph winds. Early in the race Luke lost both bottles to a pothole, and David handed over four or five of his own gels to keep Luke in the race, effectively sacrificing his own day. In the closing minutes Luke and Alex worked together to come across the line P6 and P8 in a hard-fought reduced bunch sprint.
All three riders made it through the weekend’s chaotic crit and road stages mostly unscathed.
Breakfast Racing Team hosted another great edition of the race and all who attended were treated to amazing riding conditions on a beautiful spring day in the PNW!
Luke and Alex joined the Open Category 1/2 field and Alex put Superare on the podium again with a third place finish!
BaBH was the third of four races comprising the PNW Cup in 2026—the team is readying itself for the finale at Barton Park next week!
